· The secret in the seat: massage seats, and a moonroof that just keeps going

Hey weekend warriors, Dean here, co-founder of Big Dog Builds, showcasing our latest custom Ford F150 builds in Australia: a white Lariat and a blue F-150, each set up to go from the office to the off-road tracks. They share the same suspension, wheel and tyre package, but each has its own flavour. The white one is a clean surf rig with a full chrome delete, built to escape the office for the beach. The blue one adds a colour-coded front bar, a winch, a UHF, rear airbags and a full tub setup with battery power, outlets and storage, ready to hit the tracks around Australia. Blue or white: which one would you build? Tell us in the comments.

✅ What you'll see:
· Why the F-150 is the new thing to hit the block in Australia, and how these two builds differ
· The white Lariat's Icon Stage 8 suspension kit with billet upper control arms, and 2.5 remote-reservoir shocks front and rear you can wind up when there's load in the back or a trailer on
· Why 285/70R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on matte black Method 312 wheels: a good load rating, and chosen so the tyres don't scrub on the factory body mounts, even with a front bar, on around 2 to 2.5 inches of front lift
· The custom chrome delete: colour-coded front bumper, blacked-out rear bumper, black badge kit and black stickers
· A weekend surf rig with no airbags yet: the owner will use it for a couple of months before deciding on the tub setup
· A performance exhaust for a nicer note from the factory twin-turbo V6, and when to step up to an HD truck for towing the bigger vans
· The blue F-150's colour-coded front bar with a Carbon 15K winch with a relocation bracket, plus a GME UHF on the bar with a whip you can unscrew and swap for a longer one
· The same Icon suspension and 2.5 remote-reservoir shocks on the blue truck, with a headlight relocation bracket on the upper control arm so it keeps its factory features
· Airing down the Ridge Grapplers: the office by day, the beach and the bush at night
· The rear end: the factory leaf pack with a slight lift block, plus Boss double-bellow airbags so it sits level whatever trailer is on the back
· Airbag control: simple Schrader valves as standard on every build, or onboard air with pressure control from the front seat, a wireless remote or a phone app
· The tub: a roll-up tonneau cover that rolls on top of the tub to maximise space, a 200Ah Revolution battery, an air compressor, a smart shunt and 12-volt outlets left and right for fridges and phones
· A big inverter under the back seat, a swing case in the tub and a roller cover that clips down and stays lockable

✅ How it's set up:
· White Lariat: Icon Stage 8 suspension with billet upper control arms and 2.5 remote-reservoir shocks, Method 312 wheels on 285/70R18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers, full chrome delete with colour coding and black badges, performance exhaust, tub left open for now
· Blue F-150: the same suspension, wheels and tyres, colour-coded front bar with winch and UHF, factory leaf pack with a slight lift block plus double-bellow airbags and onboard air, roll-up tonneau, battery system, outlets, inverter and a swing case
· Both: the factory twin-turbo V6

✅ Where to start:
· Office by day, beach or bush on the weekend? Start with suspension, wheels and tyres, then add the tub setup once you know how you'll use the truck
· Towing different trailers? Ask about rear airbags and onboard air control
· Towing the bigger vans? Talk to the team about stepping up to an HD truck
· Still choosing your platform? Download the free Buyer Kit below
